No Excuses!
“Life is 10% what happens to us and 90% how we react to it.”
I love this quote! To me – this quote means that you should not blame your past as a reason to settle for where you are right now. You should not allow the things that happen to you – change your character or change how you treat others. Yes – sometimes life isn’t fair and sometimes you are dealt the hand that will help you win the game – but you can always rise above setbacks with the following mindsets:
· Don’t let negativity cause you to act out of character: So someone has made you angry and you want the world to know about it! Do not go on social media blasting how you feel to the world! Not rising to the negativity will make you the bigger person and actually drive the negative person insane because they are not getting under your skin!
· When a situation does not go your way!: Stop, Pray, and then Meditate! Think about what has happened and the possible reasons why things did not go as planned. There may be an underlying reason as to why you did not get what you wanted. God may have a different plan for you. The door that was closed may have been closed so that a better opportunity will surface for you. Take this time to think about all of your options and develop a plan B and a plan C. Then get yourself together and execute!
· Realize that you have to power to decide to be whatever you want to be regardless of your past! With the power of the internet, there is a multitude of information out there to help you become whatever you want to be! Do not let the fact that you didn’t learn something in the past keep you from being a good parent, good student, good friend…. Don’t know how to put your kids to bed easily? Google it! Don’t know the best way to study? Google it! Don’t let ignorance stop you from excelling – learn and rise to the challenge!
Take charge of your life and don’t let events from your past or present derailments keep you from fulfilling your destiny! How you react is solely up to you! No one can dictate that for you!
